Utilizing bold colors, juxtaposed with my altered perception of certain colors (Deuteranopia), and experimenting with abstract shapes, the project deliberately contrasts weighty themes with innocent and child-like visuals. Additionally, humoristic drawings with subtle sexual contexts are incorporated to fully encapsulate the depth of these overlooked issues.
"A BITTER CONVERSATION WITH THE CONTENT UNDER MY CARPET" serves as a documentation of my personal journey grappling with the challenges of maturing and transitioning into adulthood. It stands as a response to the pervasive impact of unresolved childhood trauma, which not only shapes me but also influences members of our society, often leading to dysfunctional adulthood. Rather than seeking a definitive solution, I embark on a process of documenting, critiquing, and satirizing these 'childish outbursts' through the medium of abstract paintings. By exploring and portraying self-harm, manipulation, and the evasion of responsibilities within my art, I aim to shed light on issues such as age regression, PTSD, domestic abuse and OCD.
